History: Battle of Tewkesbury May 4th, 1471. Edward IV defeated the army of Margaret of Anjou, wife of Henry VI, ending the brief restoration of Henry VI.
Henrys' son Edward, Prince of Wales, was killed in the battle.

Shropshire Union canal, the
Known as "The Shroppy".
Forming a feed from the Staffs & Worcester canal, directly North to the River Mersey and the Liverpool Docks. A much faster route using the flat landscape and therefore having fewer locks to delay the journey.
